About YouAs the Intake and Administration Officer, Children Services you will: coordinate the initial entry process for Children / Young People (CYP) referred to Westhaven by the Department Of Communities and Justice (DCJ) or other non-government organisations (NGO’s)provide exceptional administrative support in a timely manner across a variety of operational tasks. To be on the forefront of this opportunity you will: Certificate IV in Disability, Mental Health or Community Services or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and/or working experienceStrong understanding of child protection issues, Care and Protection Act 1998, OOHC Standards and NSW regulatory frameworks Understanding of out of home care service provision and/or disability service provision is highly regardedStrong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersWell-developed documentation and computer skills, along with a high level attention to detail, strong analytical and data management abilitiesProven organisational skills, ability to use initiative, determine priorities and manage time effectivelyExperience in data collation and producing reports from client data management systems Highly desirable attributes include:A relevant Business Administration qualification Five years experience in an administrative roleExperience within the community services sectorExperience working with Google Suite (or similar) Salary IndicationSocial, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010Level 4, Pay Point 1: $41.52 per hour Compliance requirementsCurrent NSW Driver’s licence Obtain and maintain a current paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)Obtain and maintain a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC)Willingness to provide consent to being listed on the Residential Care Worker Register (RCWR)Willingness to undertake a pre-employment police check About applyingPlease submit your CV and a cover letter addressing your abilities to undertake the key responsibilities of this role.
